The draw for the Planwell Cup Semi Finals was made on Monday, the draw is as follows:

Lhanbryde United Vs Bishopmill Villa
Portgordon Vics Vs Buckie United

Portgordon Victoria were dealt a blow at the MDWFA Executive meeting in June when they were deducted 3 points and fined £30 for fielding an illegible player in their match against title contenders Bishopmill Villa on the 16 May. As a result of the same incident Bishopmill Villa were awarded 3 points. Portgordon have appealed this decision, therefore no points have been lost/added to teams points tallys.

About Us

This is the unofficial site of Portgordon Victoria (there isn’t an official one). We are a football team made up of players from in and around Buckie (The Sloch). The club was formed in 2006 and is now entering its fourth season in the welfare. The Vics were managed by Alfie Morrison and Dennis Clark for four years, who have both been successful managers in the Junior leagues in the past. Their coaches were David Leslie and Peter Gordon, who when they are at home give up a lot of their own time to take training etc. The team was initially called Buckie Victoria, but as Merson Park is booked over the summer by the Buckie Boys Club an alternative home ground had to be found. Fortunately Gordon Park, Portgordon was made available with the provision that "Portgordon" was incorporated within the clubs name. In the clubs debut season they respectable 5th place finish, the Vics made remarkable progress by finishing second and gaining promotion to the Premier Division and also reaching the final of the W.J Tewnion Trophy, only to lose out to rivals Buckie United. The Vics had a successful debut season in the Premier League, finishing 3rd and once again reaching the W.J Tewnion Trophy final, but once again lost, on this occasion on penalties. Portgordon's fourth season was by far the club's most successful season to date, winning both the Planwell Premier Division and the Planwell Cup. They clinched the league on the last day of the season with a win against local rivals Buckie United. Portgordon won the Planwell Cup by defeating Bishopmill Villa 2-1 at Victoria Park. Highlights of the game can be found below.
